Working in the studio I want the lighting rigs and equipment to be exposed, so  that there is a definite space where the illusion is being maintained against the practical elements that sustain the illusion. This is all about the thin line between fiction and reality, the actresses posing as a vehicle for their own fabricated  realities.

For me water sustains life, it gives life, when you think we can live without food but we cannot live without water, fish for instance can’t live five minutes without water, because they live in water, it sustains them, it gives them life. It pure. Jesus’ first miracle was to turn water into wine, parting of the red sea, all those bits and pieces. Its supplies a need. The earth is made up of about 90 percent water, humans are made up of, alot of water. Its the only essential to life except for breath. You think of waterfalls, its powerful it commands respect, yet it sounds beautiful it looks beautiful, its a source of peace. You look at this complete mass of white because thats what it is when you’re that close to it, amongst that noise there is a beauty, there is a peace. Yet it can give life and take it away.”
